enjoy the process

Just thought I would give you a peek at PART of what goes on around here as I am preparing for classes...I pull out everything that I think I might want to use, and then begin to put things together.  This weekend I am teaching an altered book class, as well as a mixed media card class so I had lots of ideas, lots of goodies to "play" with...

The process IS a huge mess, but it is a lot of fun to play with all my "toys."

It all came together and here is the result of this particular process...   :)

I have been teaching classes and so I HAVE to create classes, make samples, put together class kits, organize supplies...and, of course, practice techniques...this is a peek at what I will be teaching at the Stamp Art Shoppe in Roseville on Sat. 3/21...

instead of a post-it note

So...as I am getting better, but STILL not feeling great...I needed a reminder.  A reminder that each day is a gift.  So intead of slapping a post-it note on the fridge to "cheer up"  :)  I slapped this journal "page" together.  It was simple, but very meditative to take the time to cut out the little flowers and the party hat...and then mindfully focus on the CELEBRATE acrostic as I printed it on the tag...

For me, the CHOOSING is key!

And the "work" of creating this page, the processing, and the page itself resulted in a visual picture, both in my journal and in my memory, of this reminder.

Here I am!

Welcome!
I am so glad you are here.  Starting this blog has been a long process.  God has prepared and very gently nudged me along until I realized that this was something that I HAD TO DO...and I am so excited!  When you visit here, you will find lots and lots going on:- lots of art, especially art journaling...what I am creating...what I am learning...what I am reading...questions I am pondering...things I am processing...aaah...the glorious mess...all mixed together and being altered by God.
